Research & Skills

I am a material scientist with a background in the synthesis and characterization of nanostructured materials and materials under high pressures. At MLZ my focus is on the characterization of all components of lithium ion batteries. The aim is to understand the fundamental processes in next generation batteries, which will help to further improve their performance and stability.

Battery materials:
  • Solid Electrolytes: LLZ (doped Li7La3Zr2O12)
Applied Methods:
  • X-ray/Synchrotron Diffraction (in-situ)
  • Laser-Ultrasound (LUS)
  • Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM)
  • Sorption Isotherm
  • Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM)
