The scientific highlights of 2024 range from small iron scavangers in the sea that bind carbon dioxide to new joints for oil pipelines and Nobel Prize-winning quantum measurements with neutrons. The societal impact report gives insights about how our institute influences the outside world, from science to the daily life of citizens. Our mission is to make neutrons available for research, industry and medicine.
