Annual Report 2023

Scientific highlights of the past year are: approaching the dream of nuclear fusion with positrons, analyzing potential rocks for CO2 storage and researching an alternative to cow’s milk, such as milk from sugar beet leaves. The annual report provides general facts and figures as well as information on the conversion of the FRM II to low-enriched uranium (LEU) and the latest instrument updates.

The Societal Impact Report on the research neutron source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) and its scientific use by the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Centre (MLZ).

A study within the framework of Accelerate.

The societal impact report gives insights about how our institute influences the outside world, from science to the daily life of citizens. Our mission is to make neutrons available for research, industry and medicine.

MLZ Newsletter III/2024

This year’s last issue, just after the User Meeting, deals with education as the main topic: Read about our neutron schools and software workshops, and meet a PhD. And did you already know what the Neutron Quality Label is? Our DEVA Group explains this!
