Group Projects

Continuous improvement of the neutron scattering instruments along with the design, construction and installation of new instruments are all key tasks in securing the position of MLZ at the cutting edge of science. These activities are successfully brought together within the Group Projects.

Current projects of the Engineering group include the construction and installation of the new instrument TOPAS, as well as instrument improvement projects, for example, the small angle scattering instrument KWS 1 and the spectrometer J-NSE.

The Scientific Computing group assists researchers with data analysis and consistently improves the data analysis software.

Within the Detector Development group, high performance and cost effective detector technologies are developed to meet the future requirements of both the instrument scientists and the scientific users.
