Maustag for Young and Old

Maustag and open day at the neutron source

Once again this year, we are organising our Maustag for young and old on the 3rd of October and opening our doors to interested visitors.

In addition to the guided tours for adults through the FRM II research neutron source, there will also be special tours for children, in which the following questions will be explored together:

• What are neutrons ?
• What does a crystal have to do with a rainbow?
• How do neutrons help to research new vaccines or medicines?
• Can you eat nitrogen?

…and if you can’t wait: here you will find impressions and photos from last year.

In this film you can see what awaits you at the Mouse Day at FRM II!

There will also be information and hands-on stands in the TUM’s Mechanical Engineering Department (Courtyard 0), Boltzmannstr. 15, 85748 Garching. Here you can expect informative presentations, films, competitions, a Lego model of our instruments and the opportunity to have your questions answered by our scientists:

Registration information will be published here soon.

The mouse and the FRM II are looking forward to seeing you!
