The Scientific Director of the FRM II, Prof. Dr. Winfried Petry, gave the representative of the constituency München-Land a brief insight into the science of the Heinz Maier-Leibnitz Zentrum. The politician of the Christian Social Union (CSU) was very interested in the industrial projects and the production of radioisotopes for medicine. “I am delighted that the research neutron source is a unique and particularly effective service facility for cutting-edge research – another reason why TUM is not only one of the leading universities in Europe, but also setting benchmarks in linking modern higher education policy with the top research”, said Florian Hahn.
