Neutrons and Food 8

The “Neutrons and Food 8” 2026 will be held in Garching, Germany on June 15th to 19th, 2026 and it will bring together experts in food science and technology and neutron scattering to discuss present status, ongoing developments as well as future perspectives in the field.

We warmly welcome contributions on the following topics related to food using scattering techniques:

• food components like proteins, cabohydrates, fats
• food colloids like emulsions, foams and gel systems
• food processing investigated via scattering techniques
• food and neutron imaging
• simulation of food materials or processes
• scattering techniques applied in food systems
• industrial applications of scattering

Talks and posters will be presented by renowned international researchers in the field to demonstrate state-of-the-art methods and applications.
